It is essential to draw up a business plan for the following business year, e.g. an account plan for the expected financial occurrences. Often one drafts a yearly budget in addition to individual monthly budgets. During turbulent periods, it is advised to create a “rolling budget”, whereby adjustments are made to the monthly budget.
